All right, brace yourself for this one, film buff.. On weekdays, a movie ticket can cost up to $9.50 to $10.50 in Singapore. If you like those 3D version, it can cost a whopping $14 dollars per ticket.
When I was at Batam, I managed to catch a show. It was a relatively new release then at a full-fledged air-conditioned Cineplex, though on the small side, but still had a pop-corn counter and all.
The price of per ticket? $20 000 rupiah…
which converted to about $3 sing dollars…*Yes, go ahead, drop jaw.*
Yes… and so I see it. Avatar. Not sure what is the hype about, I am just not into it. Almost fell asleep halfway, if not for the noisy sound effects.
